Not all antique bricks are alike and can be used for paving applications. Stone Farm's historical used brick pavers, have been extracted from re-surfaced streets and roads and carefully preserved for future use. Our antique paving brick comes in a beautiful range of reds to blacks, and has the worn in texture and patina you can’t get from bricks that are made to look old.

FACE BRICK vs. PAVING BRICK

  • Face brick was manufactured and used for building walls and chimneys and was not fired properly for use as a paving brick in freeze thaw environments.
  • Paving brick is harder and does not absorb water, therefore, is a much harder product. With paving brick, "spalling" does not occur, where chips or fragments of brick chip off or crumble.

There are many ways to layout brick pavers, here is a paving pattern guide for your reference.
