Antique Brick Pavers

Brick pavers have been around since the early 19th century. At Stone Farm we harvest our antique brick pavers from streets and prepare them for resale. Each antique brick paver has an authentic and worn surface, but remains more durable than a concrete paver. Our pavers are naturally waterproof and come in a range of colors from tan to red to burnt orange. They are timeless and ideal for commercial and home use.

Brick Pavers vs. Building Brick

Brick pavers are different from building bricks. Antique brick pavers are acquired from streets, sidewalks or plazas, whereas building bricks are harvested from old buildings and walls. Brick pavers are specifically designed/manufactured to take vehicular weight, and are able to withstand freeze thaw cycles. Whereas the building bricks we reclaimed from factories and schoolhouses, would ultimately fail if laid in the ground.

RECENT Brick RECLAMATION - BOSTON CITY HALL PLAZA

Built in 1968, the amount of foot traffic on Boston City Hall is countless. The antique brick pavers that were a large part of the overall design are rich in history and walked upon and celebrated by visitors of: 36 concerts; the 2004 rally to celebrate the Patriots’ victory of Super Bowl XXXVII; other Patriots victory rallies including the 2019 Patriots victory parade that attracted 1.5 million people; multiple Boston Red Sox playoff Rallies; the Boston Calling Music Festival; the Big Apple Circus; the Boston Pride Festival; many beer festivals; multiple Boston Bruins rallies; and many Roller Disco festivals.

While brick pavers are usually harvested from streets, in the summer of 2020, Stone Farm became the owner and harvester of 80,000 square feet of brick pavers from Boston City Hall. Filled with memories from the past - from roller discos, to football victory rallies, and large concerts - these brick pavers offer a distinctive look and feel for home and commercial projects. We at Stone Farm are incredibly excited to share these beautiful antique brick pavers with designers, architects and homeowners across the country.
